Welcome           www.snakeinfo.co.uk           Welcome

This site is dedicated to some of the more popular snakes that are kept as pets in captivity. I will start with the basics on keeping & housing your pet right through to breeding & caring for the young. This page is just an introduction about this site & I will try to cover as much as I can. All the information on this site has come from my own experiences of breeding Pythons, Boas, Kings, Corns & Rat snakes.

I will go through the different ways to differentiate between the different sexes plus the newest method of sexing your snake that you will not find in any other literature at this time. There will be a part on colour, patterns & their genetic traits plus more.

Burmese Python

The Burmese is a stunning snake but with males getting to around 16 feet & females reaching 18 feet these should be left for the more experienced keepers.

Common Green Iguana

The Iguana can make a good pet but reaching 6 & 1/2  feet in length  these do need a large home. They eat fruit & veg most of the time so that makes these ideal for the more squeamish person.

Ghost Corn Snake

The Corn snake, I can say, is the best snake for any beginner. They are the most domesticated of all snakes in captivity. They only grow to maximum of 6 feet & they come in a variety of patterns & colours such as red, orange, white, black and yellow.
