Introduction

"And Computers Rejoice" is the first album I have put together of various pieces of music I have composed in my small home studio. It was produced using various synthesizers and sound modules, sequenced together using a computer music package.

This page lists all the tracks on the album with a brief description of the track as well as a short exerpt (mp3). Please contact me if you would like a full length version of the track (Full downloads have recently been removed due to space restrictions)

1) Chaos Play Exerpt

Duration: 4:38

Size: 341 KB

This is a complex piece featuring programmed and improvised drum loops which become more intence as the piece moves on.

2) Digital Sunset Play Exerpt

Duration: 4:41

Size: 340 KB

A hard hitting electronic track where harsh drums are the order of the day.

3) Boxing Day on Rama Play Exerpt

Duration: 4:41

Size: 338 KB

A very mellow and gentle track using a vinyl drum loop inspired by the Arthur C. Clarke novel "Rendez-vous with Rama".

4) In The Vincinity Play Exerpt

A trancy kind of dance track.

5) Final Level Play Exerpt

Another dance track slightly more mellow than others.

6) Somewhere Beyond Play Exerpt

An uplifting high tempo track featuring samples from David Lynch's masterpiece "Dune" which gradually winds up to the finale theme.

7) The Chase Play Exerpt

Duration: 4:13

A short piece more appropriated to a film score. Dischords and a random, almost industrial, drum pattern build a level of suspence before reaching a climatic chase sequence.

Yet another dance track with a more "House" styling.

9) Extreme State Play Exerpt

Duration: 4:02

An electronic jungle track using fast jungle drum loops and some low basslines as is traditional with this style of track.

10) And Computers Rejoice Play Exerpt

Duration: 11:17

Size: 405 KB

The longest track on the album, "And Computers Rejoice" is a dark and atmospheric oddyessy. Inspired by Jean-Michel Jarre's Tour De Force piece "Waiting For Cousteau".
