Why you should join the Letterwriters/E-mailers

What is the letterwriting/e-mailing scheme?

It is organised by National CND. Every month by letter or e-mail [your choice] you are sent details of a ‘peace’ letter that you are asked to write. Perhaps it will be a letter of congratulation or encouragement to somebody who is helping our cause or perhaps it will be a letter protesting about our Government’s plans to replace Trident.

Why should you join?

A] All you are asked to do is write one short letter or email. Surely most of us have time for that?

B] You are given all the background information you need. The research has been done!

C] You do not have to write every month. Nobody checks. As long as you can write some.

D] It is an ideal way in which busy people can campaign.

E] Very suitable for those who cannot march or turn out on a cold Saturday.

F] If lots of people write it does make a difference.

G] There will be a ‘no obligation to attend’ monthly meeting to discuss the topic.
