The South-West London D.A. was asked whether it would consider absorbing Kingston and Surbiton areas into their D.A. and a joint meeting of the D.A.s was held in January at Kingston at which the suggested change was agreed to. So a Special General Meeting was called for 12 March at Surbiton with 20 present whereat it was agreed to request the C.T.C. Council to sanction the necessary alterations. At that time, average attendances for Kingston were seven and Woking 15-22. In July the boundary changes were authorised by the council and in August the D.A. committee agreed that Woking Section be wound up and re-constituted as the West Surrey D.A.
After 20 years as a C.T.C. councillor, Mr. D. Silverton retired, having
reached the age limit and Bert Evans came into the limelight.

Hamish Smith became Woking's runs secretary and the points system for attendances was altered to 1 for start, 1 for lunch and 1 for tea.
There were 20 at a Christmas tea at the home of Ian Child at Godalming but, in very bad weather, there were only 12 on the appetiser run.
