Ron Osborne continued as D.A. Secretary with Ken Smales as Treasurer for both 1958 and 1959.  Cycle testing of 70 children was carried out at Surbiton and a C.T.C. representative was elected to the Y.H.A. Council.  In February, 80 attended a D.A. film show at Kingston by the B.T.C. Film Unit, covering a variety of touring areas.  Questions of possible floral displays at Kingston and Guildford were raised and the councils were approached but both proposals were turned down.

In the "100" organised by Woking Section, Mr. H. D. Hanks of Bexhill, aged 78, successfully completed the course on an old type machine and wearing a collar and tie throughout!

Guildford welcomed the D.A.'s offer of a representative on their Road Safety Committee and John Fletcher was elected;  he also served on a similar committee at Farnham later.

The Benstead Cup was carried off by Owen Brown with Miss Pat Cusack second;  she also won the Edwards Attendance Cup for ladies.
