Bill Stickley joined Woking's rides having been an active member of the Charlotteville C.C. for many years.  Stan Baron's Presidency of the D.A. was conferred upon Les Norman and Gerald Green retired from the C.T.C. Council.  In January, Robert Kemp gave his lecture "Highland Holiday" to a large audience at Kingston.  Woking had hostel week-ends at Hannington and East Marden but, because of bad weather, they were not well backed.  Kingston went to Streatley hostel and later spent Easter at Northleach and Chipping Norton while Woking had ten on tour in the Welsh Marches.  In May the D.A. joined with South-West London D.A. in staging a BCTC heat but only four West Surrey members took part.

To a letter from H.Q. asking for the experiences of the D.A. in organising Invitation Rides, Kingston said they had been a waste of time and effort while Woking's re-action was that such rides were mainly useful in bringing out old members and were not worth the trouble and expense of advertising.  In July Woking arranged a Burford and back ride and there were many hostel week-ends, treasure hunts and map-reading events.

At the A.G.M. in November Bill Inder indicated that, because of his wife's ill-health, he would have to relinquish the positions of D.A. Secretary and Treasurer and, subsequently, he was elected D.A. President, with Fred Jones of Kingston taking on the vacant offices.
