Sunday 12th September. Peebles Highland Games.

Our last competition of the season saw us back in the borders to compete at Peebles Highland Games. The grade four band was to play at 11am so we arrived at about half past nine. In the absence of P/M Iain Melvin, David Gibson lead the band. He did a very good job and lead the band to a strong performance despite being depleted in numbers.

The grade three band, who were missing some key players, were due to play late on in the afternoon. We struggled a bit with the setup but eventually managed to get a fairly good sound. Our performance in the circle was far from our best, but we felt we may be able to get placed.

Unfortunately the grade three band missed out on the prizelist, being placed 6 th . The grade four band achieved a well deserved 8 th place. This was a very positive end to the season for the band. Congratulations to David for leading the band on the day.
