BLACK ANNIS WOMEN'S MORRIS

Welcome to the Home of Black Annis!

Jan 2010 Black Annis are a group of fun and friendly women who dance Cotswold Morris in the summer and Fenland Molly in the winter. We are available for bookings at outdoor and indoor events, providing a colourful, family-friendly performance (normally danced in slots of 15-20 minutes); we have danced at carnivals, fetes and other local events and performed as a booked side at Towersey, Beverley, Warwick and Chippenham folk festivals. We are happy to welcome new members and practice on Thursday nights at West End Neighbourhood Centre, Andrewes Street Leicester.

Black Annis Teach Mercury Start to Dance

Black Annis spent a fun evening with Mercury journalist Becky Jones teaching her the rudiments of Morris Dancing. After only an hour long lesson, Becky was as accomplished at one of our new dances as the rest of the side. For the full story of the evening read Becky's article.

Please contact Lynn Goodall, using the link below if you would like to book us for an event or are interested in joining
