We had a lovely day as guests of Baldock Midnight Morris as part of the Baldock Festival; danced as a booked side at the Beverly Folk Festival and had some very pleasant Thursday evenings dancing at the Dog and Gunn in Kilby and the Foxton Locks Inn with its lovely location by the world famous locks.

Events We Danced at in 2008

2008 was an even busier year for Black Annis. We kicked off the Coltswold Season on Saturday 12th April by celebrating Glorishears 30th Anniversary Day of Dance in Birmingham. Also in April we celebrated St George's Day Celebration in Hinckley and the eve on St Woolos with our friends Bare Bones in Loughborough. Yet again we made our annual pilgrimage to Hastings to Celebrate the Jack in the Green Festival in early May and yet again ventured south for the Baldock Day of Dance. We had a break in tradition and danced at the Burbage fete on Sunday 18th May, where we had a fabulous encounter with some alpacas. In June we danced from Nottingham to Southwell to celebrate an 800 year tradition and in July we performed as a booked side at the Warwick Folk Festival. Most recently we were lavishly entertained by Boggart's Breakfast in Tideswell.
