PHASE 1 IS OVER !

(Phase 1 is the horrible messy (and occasionally depressing) bit where you take the car to pieces to find out 'what you have got').

The body has now been 'stripped naked'. The only things to be removed now are the doors (and a few small screws and brackets). It fought to the last - the very last thing I took out was the horn (a lovely late 60's FIAM air horn!), which I had to saw off!

I can now start on PHASE 2 - Renovation/restoration/replacement of all parts. This is much more enjoyable because you start to build a pile of nice shinny parts!

So here a few random shots of Phase 2 in action:

Can you spot the difference? 35 years separete these caps but they are Identical! They are still being made by the same company: Enots in Birmingham!

I removed the black vinyl from the dash and gave the clocks a polish. It has all come up wonderfully!.

The lovely 180 mph speedo!

Another shot of the fuel check valves - one of them has been 'Phase 2'd' !

New front shocks by Leda in UK. They are almost identical to Armstrong units.

More soon (I'm in full swing now!)
