Welcome to the JMCS (London section) website
We are a UK-wide
mountaineering club with a wide variety of outdoor interests and welcome
new members at all levels. We organise monthly weekend meets
around the UK and have a particular fondness for Scotland in all its
moods. Despite the name, we are open to all adults (18 years+)
from all over the UK.
We walk, scramble,
climb (rock and ice), bike, ski and sail in mountainous regions with
many members venturing further afield - Alps, Himalayas, Jordan, Peru...
We hope these pages
give you an insight into our activities and encourage you to join us.
While the pictures here are our most dramatic - don't be fooled, there
is lots of easy-going hill walking, scrambling and there is
always a warm welcome at the end of the day.
