Dead Poets Society

Academy Award winner Robin Williams delivers a brilliant performance in one of Hollywood's most compelling and thought-provoking motion pictures. Williams portrays passionate English professor John Keating, who, in an age of crew cuts, sport coats and cheerless conformity, inspires his students to live life to the fullest, exclaiming... "Carpe diem, lads! Seize the day. Make your lives extraordinary!" The charismatic teacher's emotionally charged challenge is met by his students with irrepressible enthusiasm - changing their lives forever. Magnificently directed by Peter Weir (The Truman Show), Dead Poets Society earned unparalleled praise among audiences and critics alike. Discover for yourself what all the cheering is about.

Divorcing Jack

He's Irish, he drinks, is a touch cynical and when he has time, he writes a newspaper column. On the eve of the country's first election as an independent state, Dan Starkey's life is about to change after he finds the young woman he has just made love to dead and his only ally is a nun..

Dogma

One of the most talked-about movies of the year is also one of the funniest! In this hilarious comic fantasy from writer/director Kevin Smith, two banished angels (Ben Affleck and Matt Damon) find a loophole that would get them back into Heaven. The only snag? They’ll be destroying existence in the process.

In an effort to stop them, the overworked Voice of God (Alan Rickman) taps cynical mortal Bethany (Linda Fiorentino) to save the world by preventing the angels from reaching their unholy destination: New Jersey!

Throw in two unlikely prophets named Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith), the quick-witted yet little-known thirteenth apostle (Chris Rock) and a sexy former muse with a case of writer’s block (Salma Hayek), and you’ve got an hysterical and thrilling race against time packed with an all-star cast that Entertainment Weekly called “one of the 10 best movies of 1999!”

Dog Soldiers

A visceral horror about a squad of British soldiers on a routine training exercise in the wilds of Scotland. Their greatest worry is missing the football until they stumble upon Captain Ryan - the sole survivor of a Special Operations team literally torn to pieces. Ryan refuses to reveal the secret of his mission even though whoever ate his men is keen for second helpings.

Luckily local girl Megan leads them to a deserted farmhouse deep in the forest, but when they realise that this is home to a pack of vicious werewolves it's apparent their nightmare has only just begun. Sean Pertwee stars as the sardonic sergeant, with Kevin McKidd as the heroic private and Liam Cunningham as the utterly twisted Ryan. With only each other to rely on, the battle between men and monsters is also a battle amongst themselves - in which loyalty, bravery and ingenuity is truly put to the test.

Down To Earth

Struggling black comic Lance Barton (Rock) knows what it's like to die on stage. But when his life takes an unexpected turn, straight to heaven, Lance is sure there's been a mistake. Miraculously, he's right! An angel tells Lance he was taken prematurely but assures him he can be returned to Earth - in the aged body of a ruthless white billionaire. In this improbable reincarnation Lance begins a hilarious quest to realise his showbiz dream and, along the way, discovers the person he never imagined he could be...

'Down To Earth' is a comedy directed by Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz, based on Warren Beatty's 'Heaven Can Wait' and Alexander Hall's 'Here Comes Mr Jordan'.

Duets

Duets is a road-trip comedy about six individuals who throw off the binds of their pre-determined lives and strive to fulfil their dreams. They are: a waitress desperate to become a recording star, an ex-con who sings with the voice of an angel, a salesman who suffers a nervous breakdown chasing the American Dream, a seasoned Karaoke hustler who is disconnected from everyone, an innocent Vegas showgirl searching for family and love, and a young down-on-his-luck cab driver.

As they converge on the $5000 Grand Prize Karaoke Contest in Oklahoma, Nebraska, their lives intertwine, revealing the funny, raucous world of Karaoke bars and chain hotels. Featuring a superb soundtrack including the hit "Cruisin'" by Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis.
