Beer Review - Reviews of what I believe to be some of the finest beers, lagers and stouts found on the planet

Ooooh! what shall I have?

Well lets start off with something light that won't trash your taste buds like a... stout (sorry private joke).

Stouts that I recommend, well I should really mention...

Guinness as it is probably the single most famous stouts with worldwide recognition. But is that just down to good advertising? Well Budweiser (American not Czech) is probably the foulest thing that I've ever had the misfortune to drink and if you believe the hype on the ads then it should be heaven sent. Now the good ol' black stuff is nowhere near as bad as Bud but it's not the greatest either.

Murphy's - a smoother, sweeter contender to Guinness, this provides the taste that is both pleasant and refreshing, my choice for sure. I would however recommend that you do not order this is a pub in Dublin, unless you can run, and I mean fast. Murphy's is brewed in Co. Cork and as such the Dubliners rivals.

Dragon Stout - Brewed in Jamaica this is well worth a taste, very different those above, this is true hairs on ya chest stuff. The taste is a little too bitter for some but what do you expect, it's a stout! If you've ever drunk Red Stripe (Jamaican Lager) you'll know that you are likely to get a hangover, well this stuff is no different at 7.5% it's something you need to be wary of, especially if drinking large quantities.

Lagers that I'd recommend...

Depending were you are in the world will depend on what you call this, the 'amber nectar', bier, lager, beer essentially it's normally lighter and gassier  than 'Real Ale'. A popular choice down the local but quality may vary. I for instance think that they should re-brand Budweiser to BADweiser, unless served at absolute Kelvin  it is likely to offend your taste buds, whereas other more European biers are only likely to offend your state of sobriety.

A better choice than Bud would be a Stella Artois or Kronenborg 1664 two quality lagers but I do have to say it, they taste better in their own country. I don't know why but they do. but my all time favourite beer...

...Well if you can get it on tap, Red Stripe. The Jamaicans strike again, where most of my friends fear to tread, I dance with Beelzebub. For in the morning I will suffer with pain unheard of. OK! OK! It can cause a few hangovers - but no pain no gain.
