The Deeside Arena was the venue for the first qualifier tournament for this years BUIHC series. The tournament was intense with the suspense lasting until the very last game as it was the decider on what the final league standings not only for the two teams playing, but also to who would fall third in the standings.

The overall winner was the University of Edinburgh 1st team followed closely by University of Manchester 1st team and the University of Leeds.
