• The locality is called "El Paraiso" ("Paradise"). It is in the sunny centre-west zone, by the "Cumbre Vieja" national park, perfectly placed for touring the island. The small towns of El Paso and Los Llanos de Aridane are 10 minutes drive away, as are the west coast beaches.

• The house is large, detached and rural, standing in 1500 square metres of land. There are 2 entrance gates to the driveway and parking area.

• It is a short walk from the house to the villages of "Alcalá" which has 2 small grocery shops, and "Tajuya" which has 2 restaurants.

• The living area is 195 square metres and has panoramic views of the sea, mountains and vineyards from the balconies.

• There are sheltered areas in the garden and orchard for sunbathing.

• The ground floor is a garage for up to 5 cars. It has: a decked area with washing machine (10Kg load); bathroom for those returning from the beach and other outdoors activities; a storage area for sunloungers, parasols, tables and chairs.

• The garden house has a barbecue, rustic furniture and terrace for eating out.

• The mature garden has palms, firs, jasmin, hibiscus, strelitzia (bird of paradise), oleander, bouganvillea, flamboyan (flame tree), aloe vera and castor oil. The orchard has 5 almond trees, 2 guava, 1 orange, 1 nectarine, 1 chestnut, 1 apricot, 1 sharon fruit, 1 pitanga, 1 fig and 1 cactus.

• The house is ideal for family and friends. Ramblers can enjoy the countryside while others visit the beach, tour the island, sunbathe on the terraces, sit under a shady tree or have a barbecue.

• The house accommodates up to 11 adults and 2 babies, comfortably.

• The large dining area seats 11 adults.

• The large lounge seats 12.

• The house sleeps 11. The 4 bedrooms each have 2 beds measuring 2.0 metres (6 feet 6 inches) long by 0.9 metres (3 feet) wide; join 2 together to make US king size beds. The lounge sleeps 3 on sofabeds.

• There are also 2 baby cots, 2 high chairs and a nursing chair.

• There are 2 "memory foam" overlay mattresses, each 2.0 metres (6 feet 6 inches) long by 0.9 metres (3 feet) wide. These are for those with bad backs.

• Bedlinen, pillows, blankets, duvets and bedspreads are provided.

• Bedroom windows have lined velvet curtains and shutters for good siestas.

• The kitchen is modern. It has a large fridge-freezer, microwave, electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, coffee machine, rapid boil electric kettle and 4 piece toaster.

• Modern bathroom facilities: plenty hot water; 2 bathrooms with bathtub and shower and 1 guest bathroom; 3 toilets, 1 bidet, 4 wash basins.

• It is a Country House with mains water, a rare combination on La Palma.

• In the lounge are a CD Stereo System, DVD Player and Satellite Television. TV channels are in Spanish, English, German, Dutch and many other languages.

• Those susceptible to hay fever are fine as there is little dust or pollen.
