I owned an Austin Healey Sprite Mk1 (also known as a Frogeye or Bugeye) for many years. The car was manufactured in 1959 and exported to the USA according to the Heritage Certificate. The previous owner repatriated it in the mid 1990s.

I was not interested in originality or concurs, rather enjoying driving and fettling. The car was converted to right hand drive before I bought it. The following changes were made later
All changes apart from the last two were done by Dave McCall at the Paddock Garage, Church Lane, Woodford, Stockport.
I sold the Sprite 15th September 2007. I was sorry to see it go but it had been sitting in the carport for the last couple of years and hardly touched. I had come to the conclusion that I just was not going to get round to doing anything to it and the rust would get at it.
My every day driver is a Nissan Micra bought second hand for its reliability and economy - I usually get more than 40 miles to the gallon.
