Deryshire Peak District
An area of diverse landscapes but all with outstanding natural beauty, a photographer's dream come given good light and timings.
Many of these images were taken in late August when the heather was in full bloom and what a spectacular display of colour is produced.
Recommended journey would be following the snake pass for good opportunities of heather in bloom and also a waterfall just 25m from the road.
The high peaks provide the peat moor landscape much like that found in Dartmoor and Exmoor of SW England.
