About Me

Ceri D Jones

I enjoys capturing images that provide a pleasure to view and this is my main aim in photography.

I have been interested in photography since the age of 15, learning the basics of the craft using a Zenith E SLR and an improvised B&W darkroom in his fathers garage. It has taken years for me to fully appreciate two pieces of advice that I read early on in my photographic journey, both are perhaps stating the obvious and I urge photographers wanting to better themselves to keep these statements in their heads and adhere to them as often as possible:

Always aim to shoot the light - analyse great images and you will soon see that it is the quality of the  light that makes it stand out.

Great image opportunities seldom just appear before your eyes - you need to get out there, be prepared and focused on what you want to try to capture.

I am still developing my landscape skills and I feel I have a long way to travel yet That is the fun of photography, you can always improve.

This website shows the results of my endeavours todate, I hope I am beginning to achieve my aim of “images that are a pleasure to view”.
