Click on a members picture to see information about that band member Celtic Assault is a three piece, dual singer, digitally drummed metal band based in Swansea, South Wales, UK. The sound is old school metal (Megadeth, Iron maiden etc...) and nu-metal (Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit etc...). BBC radio have described the band as 'Bon Jovi with balls meets rage against the machine' The band have come far over the last few years having worked with a number of high profile artists including MTV's DIRTY SANCHEZ and were finalists in the Afan 87.7 FM 'last one standing' competition, the only metal band in the final. The beginning of 2005 has seen Celtic Assault become band of the week on Valleys Radio 999-1116am with plans to return for a live session later in the year. Celtic Assault has two vocalists helping to mix their various different styles, and with thundering riffs, blistering guitar solos and big choruses the band aims to be powerful and original. With their music, they are not afraid to speak their mind and take you on a journey through controversial and political subjects right through to the world of the paranormal. They are hungry, they are aggressive, and they are waiting to be unleashed. Join the assault!!! Noteworthy achievements to date -Recorded a 2 track demo in 2002 and a 5 track EP "Society's Creation" in 2003/4 with George Micheal producer Tim Hamill -Radio airplay from South Wales stations "The Wave 96.4 fm" and Valleys Radio 999-1116am -Prime time act at the Festival of youth in south wales 2003 -Played at the legendary venue TJ's Bar In Newport (many big names have played there such as Nirvana) as part of a UNICEF charity fundraiser with members of MTV show "DIRTY SANCHEZ" present -Celtic Assault track 'Kama Loka' was played at the "De Afslachting" metal event in Belgium on May 29th 2004. -American record label JCM records distributed Celtic Assault promo material at the metal mayhem festival in Minneapolis, USA, which featured Morbid Angel and many other bands. We have received a vast increase of visitors to the website during the week since the festival. -Finalists in the Afan 87.7 FM Last one standing competition. Were voted as one of the top 5 bands out of 30 whittled down over four weeks to play in the live final. We were played every week on the show for listeners to vote. Celtic Assault track 'Kama Loka' (available on this site for download) was played on the Adam Walton Sunday night show, the musical mystery tour on BBC Radio Wales Sunday 30th May 2004.
