A Power company, planning to site a wind farm in Rhondda, South Wales, has pulled out of the investment in view of resident's concerns over their proximity, and the noise element. See how the BBC reported it.
The Journal Moneyweek has, this week, published an in-depth article , exploring whether wind power is a realistic option. The government has, of course, had it's arm twisted by promising Brussels significant moves towards green objectives by 2020, the problem is that looking at the Danish experience, windpower is far from a green , or an economical option, but the use of Nuclear Power has been all but abandoned in the process.

Please come along this week -
even if just for a morning/ afternoon or a few hours. If you attend, you have to
sign an attendance sheet and the more names we have on the sheets the better.
The higher the number of people who come along to the Inquiry, the more the
Planning Inspector will get the impression that this is really important to us.
Media coverage was particularly
good last week, with a number of TV and radio interviews. We'll hope to get some
more this week too.

Residents
of Carsington and Hopton who are opposed to the proposed Wind Farm development
at Carsington Pastures unveiled a banner measuring 10ft by 20ft, adjacent to
The Miners Arms pub in Carsington. The objective of the banner is to raise
people’s awareness of the forthcoming Public Inquiry and encourage them to
object. Even the sheep seemed interested!
