CHILDREN'S ACTIVITY DAYS OVER EASTER - 6th & 7th APRIL 2004

As many of our members are parents and grandparents, one of our aims is to encourage children to get involved with learning about and hopefully caring about their woods. To this end, we are delighted to announce the first, of hopefully many, children’s activity days. We are also very fortunate that they are to be lead by no less than 4 local Rangers, each with years of experience to share. FoCW feel that, as it is the first children’s event we will offer places to children of parents who receive this newsletter, before we offer places to others. Children under 8 years old are very welcome, but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian all day. Children between 8 and 11 years old will be looked after by the Rangers, with the help of FoCW members. We intend to have a ratio of 1 adult to 4 children.

There will be a charge of £2.00 per child, per day, in order to cover costs which hopefully will enable FoCW to buy a suitable Easter gift for children to take home. It is very IMPORTANT that you complete a parental consent form and  hand it to a committee member. Places are limited and we will have to operate a ‘first come first served’ basis — so don’t miss out — it’s going to be two fun-packed days! Further details can be found in the schedule below.

FULL SCHEDULE OF DATES - PLEASE COME ALONG - NEWCOMERS ALWAYS WELCOME!
