This I started on 9th August 2002 following a recipe I found on Jack Keller's excellent site

Day 1 |
While taking the dog for a walk, we found that the blackberries were beginning to ripen. So we thought we'd get in first before the local bird population and got picking arriving home with enough blackberries to make 3 gallons of wine with some left over. Rather than going to all the effort of sealing and freezing the remainder we threw them in as well. I had a look on Jack's site for a recipe and decided to go for the "heavy-bodied" recipe as that is the sort of wine style that we most like.

Day 14 |
Followed all the instructions to the letter and it's bubbling away nicely (as is another gallon I've just started!) There are so many blackberry bushes in our local area I will have plenty more blackberry wine bubbling before the elderberries are ready!!
