PaddySpic Investigations Inc.

PaddySpic (or SpicPaddy as it is sometimes known) was founded in 1920 by two characters of dubious character.

The company consists of Paddy (an ex cop of Irish descent); Spic (an ex crim of Italian descent) and Mary their receptionist / secretary / bookkeeper.

Paddy and Spic grew up on the streets with little or no parental guidance. The closest they had to a father figure was Sergeant Jimmy O’Connell the local beat cop. Over time they drifted apart, Paddy went on to join the police while Wop went on to an even more shady career, the only time they ever seemed to meet was while they were attempting to get the attention of O’Connell’s daughter – Mary.

Sergeant O’Connell died during a failed raid and was accused, post mortem, of being on the take, after which his family received a much-reduced pension. Paddy and Spic both thought it was more than just a little unlikely that O’Connell was crooked and decided to look into it. PaddySpic was born at this time as they realised they would need independence (and probably money) to investigate the case.
