Forefather Forefather was created by brothers Athelstan and Wulfstan in September 1997
and they remain the only members to this day. The plan was to write heroic,
true and proud songs based on their fondness for their Anglo-Saxon heritage
and the honourable times of old. Immediately song-writing began for what was
planned to be a debut full-length album and by August 1998 recording was
ready to start. The result was the now much-praised "Deep Into Time". After
some delay it was officially released on the 22nd March 1999 by their own
label Angelisc Enterprises and Forefather quickly gained a name for itself on
the global Metal underground. The current album 'The Fighting Man' finds the band exploring more traditional metal styles as well as bringing in more subtler vocals. |

The Meads of Asphodel Formed in 1998 by Metatron [vocals], Jaldaboath [gutars, keyboards] and Urakbaramel [drums] the band consequently released three acclaimed demo's over the next few years namely, The Bemoaning of Metatron, Metatron and the Red Gleaming Serpent and The Watchers of Catal Huyuk. Now signed to Supernal Music the debut album 'The Excommunication of Christ' features Bulldozer vocalist A.C.Wild and Hawkwind legendary guitarist Huw Lloyd Langton amongst others. The use of traditional medieval/ eastern instruments and a carefree disregard for conventional trends has made the bands music unique but still very much Black Metal, although the heavy use of melody gives the sound a wider appeal.. The track featured on this Cd is a new track 'Christ's Descent into Hell' recorded and mixed in one day amongst the dark mists of boiling blood and rising plumes of Yage. |

Reign of Erebus Formed in 1997 the band released the 'Opus Infernus' demo in 1998 which was a similar style to Cradle of Filth. The Second demo
'Of Blackest Magik' followed in 1999 and gained the band a deal with Blackened Records. The Demo was re-issued on mcd and continual line up changes before and during the recording of the debut album 'Human Racist- a higher form of human' helped to shed the Cradle influences in favour of a more intense and violent style. The results can be heard here with the track 'Storm Winds of Lucifer' which is taken from the current album. |
