Purchased from e bay, Needs Major structural work to frame including top tubes re welding to sissy bar tubes, rear brake bridge rewelding into position, a major dent to the underside of the lower main tube needs rectifying, and the bottom bracket lockring has been welded to the bottom bracket so requires grinding and removing. Stand toblerone has also been tack welded into position which requires removal. Forks have been hammered near flat on the top edges, so are of no use whatsoever. Other areas of frame also have "minor" dents to them. - comments: Bigger project than first hoped for, but the bonus to it all is that it IS NOT a cross over model but a "Pure" MK1.

It looks to be all origional going from the research that I have done. It is only missing one item and that is the front fender. The paint is fair and what you would expect for a cycle 34 yrs young. Saddle is really good, only 1cm nick in one side. frame is crimped at drop out. Thinking of rebuilding as a transitional. Lots of re-chroming to be done. - comments: My wife bought me the bike (bless her). I really want to get this bike in new condition,time and money will be major factors, but hey! I got the bike so thats a start. - When its finished I look forward to hanging the original Raleigh gold tag on the bars, which hung on my Mk1 transitional way back in Oct. 71 (Still got that & the handbook)
