The It is remarkable for its two
churches: one disused, built in 1838 by Lord Chancellor Eldon to designs by
his son-in-law, Repton. The other is quite
elaborate, built in 1880 by the 3rd Earl of Eldon, architect G E
Street, and which resembles a miniature early English cathedral. |

The tower dominates the landscape and
inside, the clustered pillars and other details are of Purbeck marble,
