Up the Maggies footnote:
Another tricky fixture for Notts following a 1-0 defeat at Ipswich which saw Justin Fashanu leave the field injured - and he would not play again this season, a big loss. West Ham, by contrast, were 3rd having just thrashed Spurs 4-1. So a decent New Year bank holiday point for Notts (having come from 2-0 down) but a very disappointing attendance.
