Up the Maggies footnote:
A disappointing New year bank holiday Monday result against bottom of the table Sunderland. Nigel Worthington struck the crossbar in the first half, Jimmy Sirrel claimed that "We dominated throughout" and 'Match' weekly made goalkeeper  Chris Turner Sunderland's man of the match (Pedro Richards was Notts best rated player). 1970's legend Frank Worthington, now 34, was with Sunderland at the time but - despite being included in the programme 1-11 team-check - he didn't play in this one (he would however make one final appearance at Meadow Lane for Brighton in April 1985).
