There is a burial at Bowes, for John of Charity Lands, in February 1805.

I am now certain that John Langstaff and his wife, Christian Sayre of Romaldkirk, are John Longstaff and Christian of Bowes.
They moved from Romaldkirk to Bowes between the years 1762-1766
According to the IGI, the Sayer family of Bowes, included at least four daughter's with the name Christian Sayer.
No other's found in Yorkshire, except for the marriage of Christian herself, to John Longstaff at Romaldkirk.
There is a baptism on the IGI for Jonathan Longstaff, son of John, bap. 1762 at Romaldkirk.
The book, "The Langstaffs of Teesdale and Weardale," includes the Bowes Pedigree No. 46, which begins with the four children below, who appear to be brothers but no father's name is submitted.

Thomas Langstaff of Oxque in the Parish of Marrick aged 71 was buried at Bowes on 23 March 1831. (The burial date for Thomas is two days after the date of death and his age at time of death was also partly eroded so that what appears to be 21 years is in fact 71 years.

Notes for GEORGE WILLIAM LONGSTAFF: - Summerhouse, where GEORGE WILLIAM LONGSTAFF was born is approximately 5 miles S.E. of Staindrop and 4 miles N.W. of Darlington, it is a small hamlet of about 20 houses. The main Staindrop to Darlington Road runs through the tiny village. There is a very nice village hall, a public house but no shops. The main house which is on the opposite side to the main village is called "The Grange".

Notes for GEORGE LONGSTAFF: George was the fourth child of George Longstaff & Emma Walker. He died at the age of sixteen after choking to death on the top from a fountain pen.

He died on August 23, 1975 at Darlington Memorial Hospital, Darlington, England. He married MARGARET PEARS, daughter of JACKSON PEARS and MARGARET TEMPLETON, of Upperby, Carlisle, Cumbria.
He died under very mysterious circumstances at the age of 79 years, while undergoing treatment at Darlington Memorial Hospital. At 9pm. on the evening of August 23, 1975, while under sedation and alone in an empty ward, he was burnt to death in his bed.
