Margaret C. Woolums, (swoolums@jockeyclub.com) of: Lexington, Kentucky at: Tue Aug 3 22:55:28 1999 Dear Carmichael's everywhere I attended a rare event in Galax, Virginia, on July 25 and 25. It was a celebration of my uncle's 75th birthday. Uncle is Rev. Standrod Tucker Carmichael, retired Episcopalian priest. The celebration included various of his descendants and collaterally his brother, John Craig Carmichael, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, his nephew Harry St. George Tucker Carmichael of Lexington, Virginia, his niece, Margaret Carmichael Woolums and two of her children, Margaret Alexander Lyle (Gravitt) who sings Scottish and Irish folk music, and Anna Woolums Carney, who runs the family farm in Woodford County, Kentucky. I returned to Lexington, Virginia with my brother and we spent some time in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery visiting Carmichaels. We seem to be a side branch of Carmichaels but will be happy to be in touch with any of the family who might want to contact me. Margaret "Sissy" Carmichael Woolums

Marie Seaver-Cluney, (mlc407@hotmail.com) of: Vallejo, California, USA at: Mon Aug 23 20:53:46 1999 I found on your website the names of my Great-Grandparents: Wintfred Seaver and Edith Gorse; and my Grandfather John Roy Seaver. I thought you might like to know that my Great-Grandparents also had other children:Glen b.Nov. 1904; Howard b. Jan. 1907; Frank b. Aug. 1911;and Naomi b.Sept. 1922. John Roy Seaver, everyone always called him Roy to avoid confusion with another John Seaver who alow lived on Rural Route 1 in Fort Scott, had two sons, who lived more than a few hours after birth, Norman Allen Seaver b. Jan. 27, 1923 d. June 14, 1999 and William Argyle Seaver b.April 24, 1926 d. Sept. 16, 1994. I'm Norman's oldest daughter. And I'm very new at tracing my family. I'm not sure how the Seaver's are related to the Carmichael's. If you'd like any information I have, please let me know. I can trace the Seaver's back to David Seaver, Sr. who came from Pennsylvania with his wife and 11 children to Kansas in about 1850. Marie
