My gggggrandmother, Sarah Carmichael was married to John Grumble, b bef 1750 Sussex Co. Delaware and died bef 21 Oct 1801 in Old Somerset Maryland. One of their children was Benjamin Grumbles ( the s was added by then). This will be like a needle in the haystack. You have a wonderful website. I look forward to exploring it.

Joyce Gentry, (bgentry@chickasaw.com) of: Ada OK at: Tue Apr 13 19:41:36 1999 My Great Grandfather, Reuben Carmichael married to Mickey Naught, son of Starling Carmichael,is listed under the Carmichael Genealogy Data, as having 9 children. My grandfather, Benjamin Franklin Carmichael is not listed. He was born 22 Jan 1861, Greene County, Indiana. He married Susan A. Hasket in July 1882 in Greene County, Indiana. They had 10 children. My mother, Sarah Avice Carmichael Allison was the 6th child. The family moved to Lawton OK about the time of OK statehood (1907). Benjamin died in OK City 14 October 1941. My mother died in Lawton OK 9 Dec 1983. I would like to hear from any other Carmichael decendents from Archibald Carmichael-Elizabeth Nix.

Cole Carmichael, is descended from Archibald Carmichael I, and his wife Elizabeth Nix, both born in Scotland. Archibald was the son of John Carmichael and Elizabeth Rogers, both from Scotland. I've traced the name back to a Robert Carmichel who married a Dutch girl in 1608 while seving with the Scottish troops helping the Dutch against the Spaniards. Am still looking for information as to Roberts' lineage. Can anyone help?
