| Having
missed out on getting an Ark bike from the Coupland auction, i have now
acquired one through the use of the EBAY auction web site. The bike
was made by Orton & Spooner along with the rest of the ride in 1937
for Charles Evans. It was sold to J. Fletcher in 1948. 8 years
later it was sold to Hall Brothers in 1956. One year later the ride
passed to Ernest Atha in 1957. Athas kept it for 28 years and it is best
known under Atha's name. It was sold to Herbert Hirst in 1985, many
of the bikes show the name Hirst on the number plates. It was sold
again in 2002 to Simon Meah. The ride is sadly now a Waltzer
and is owned by James Hudson.
If you have any pictures of this ride please email me them .
