Constructing a Hobby Animal
A weekend for Fools and Beasts of the Morris Ring is held annually in the Autumn, where the drinking, eating etc. is interrupted by serious consideration of technique, problems and all matters pertaining thereto. Participants become members of the Illustrious Order of United Fools.
The success and value of this is attested by the number who return year after year. It is from the collective experience of those attending, that this paper has grown.
(Webmaster's Note: In 2000, long after Ron wrote his original paper, a new event for Beasts was instituted at Banbury, in Oxfordshire. Banbury Hobby Horse Fest is the website for this festival, which should be of interest to Beasts of all Morris persuasions.)
