Calverton Folk Museum

A museum housing period furniture and clothing, fossils, a framework knitting machine, Victorian Kitchen, living room and bedroom and displays on the history of framework knitting, invented by William Lee of Calverton. There are also tapestry pictures of village buildings.

Opening Arrangements

The museum is open on the last Sunday of every month April to September from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

For visits of groups of up to 20 people please make prior arrangements by sending an email to the address above.

Admission Prices

For adults, senior citizens, students, the unemployed and the disabled, the admission is only £1.50 per person. The admission price for children up to the age of 16 is £0.50. A taped commentary is included.

The museum is on Main Street in Calverton which is just off the B6386 there is free parking and toilet facilities are available nearby at St. Wilfrid's Square.
From
Nottingham you can catch either the CC or C7 Calverton Connection buses to Calverton from the Old Market Square in front of Debenhams in Nottingham.
