AN URGENT PLEA Hi
Everyone, and a Very Happy New Year to you
all. For me, and I know the same applies to a lot of people, 2009 was
not a particularly good year. So, let’s hope 2010 is so much better! I've
had an urgent appeal from Home Counties Boxer Welfare. They have had
an extra large influx of dogs recently, and urgently need to find good
homes for them. Most
of these dogs are having to be housed in Boarding Kennels, and as one of
the organisers of the HCBW puts it, for dogs who, for the most part, are
used to living in a warm home environment, to be suddenly
uprooted and put into a kennel (even if they do have heat-lamps and such)
at this time of the year, where they must spend the very large part of the
day just laying around, is a very great shock to them. As,
I'm sure, a lot of you know, Boxers are VERY sensitive dogs, and such
upheaval must leave them wondering just what is going to happen to
them! So, if you know of anyone who may be thinking of giving a home
to a deserving animal (of course, they’re ALL deserving), please suggest
they have a look at the HCBW website: www.hcbw.org.uk/id2.html Or,
initial contact can be made by phoning Rita Clarke on 01707 330438. Thank
you for taking the time to read this plea, and, once again, I hope you have
a really marvellous 2010. And, I'm sure you’ll agree,
let’s hope the same goes for all these lovely dogs! With
very best wishes, Peter
