Summer Weekday Services on the Battlefield Line
Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4th July 2012

Railcar at Shenton Station

Why not join us for a ride through the historic Leicestershire countryside?

Head down to the Battlefield Line Railway at Shackerstone Station and take a trip on a preserved railcar set that is more than 50 years old.

The railcar service departs from Shackerstone and makes its way down to Shenton Station, via Market Bosworth, for Bosworth Battlefield country park. Why not stop off at Shenton and explore the battlefield and return on a later train?

The Battlefield Line is home to a number of vintage 1950s railcars. The railcars offers an unique outlook on the railway, allowing you to see the drivers eye view.

Summer weekday running starts on Wednesdays on the 4th July and on Tuesdays starts on the 17th July. It then continues through July until the end of August.

What's the Railcar like? Well, it's a bit like this...
