August Bank Holiday Weekend 2012   Join us over the August Bank Holiday week for selection of steam trains, diesel trains and railcars stretching their legs on the former Ashby and Nuneaton Joint Railway. This is the current line up for the forthcoming Bank Holiday Weekend and beyond on the Battlefield Line. Green timetable on both days. Ever wondered what its like to drive a steam engine? Well, you can come find out on 3803! More information here. Also this weekend Market Bosworth Station will be open. Trains will be stopping to pick up and put down passengers.  You can start your journey from Market Bosworth, however there are no credit/debit card facilities currently, so it will be cash only. Seen Here Operating with 5542 during our March 2011 Gala Weekend Tuesdays & Wednesday - Railcar Service Head down to the Battlefield Line Railway at  Shackerstone Station and take a trip on a preserved railcar set that is more than 50 years old. The railcar service departs from Shackerstone and makes its way down to Shenton Station for Bosworth Battlefield country park. Why not stop off at Shenton and explore the battlefield and return on a later train? The Battlefield Line is home to a number of railcars. The railcars offers an unique outlook on the railway, allowing you to see the drivers eye view. Blue timetable on these days. Please note Market Bosworth Station is not open on these days.
