Although Costa Antigua is a quiet residential area there are a growing number of bars, shops and services to cope with the increased number of holiday homes and villas in the area.
There
is a bakers close to the house next door to which is Kate Daly's, a small bar
specialising in karaoke.
There is also a small supermarket in this block and an internet cafe, our kids are never out of it!
Across the road is Kavanaghs, one of the longest running bars on the island.
A further two minute walk towards the sea brings you to a larger collection of shops.
Here you'll find some restaurants, two supermarkets, chippy, estate agent and hire shop.
All these restaurants are excellent and also do carry out. Villa Pizza, obviously for pizzas and Jinxing is a great Chinese restaurant.
The two supermarkets are geared towards the British holiday maker and carry a wide range of comfort foods from the UK, beans, HP sauce, custard etc.
As well as eating and drinking to your hearts content there are loads of activities that can be enjoyed in the Costa Antigua and Costa Caleta area.
Deep sea fishing from one of the many charter boats, scuba diving, golf and mini golf, trike tours, off road buggy trips, windsurfing, tennis, bike hire, two spa baths, cinema, bowling, amusements, oceanarium, weekly market, las Salinas salt museum. Travel further a field for paintball, aqua park, day trip to Lanzarote, catamaran trips, body boarding safari, day trip to los Lobos.
