XR3 specs: 1598cc. 96bhp at 6000rpm. 0-60 in 9.2 secs 118mph top speed (officially 113mph).
This is a 5-speeder with a normally aspirated engine.
Lovely shot & in the Ford Museum at Dagenham (now closed). Car is now in a secure lock-up, and doesn't run.

Goodwood circuit day & Santa Pod RWYB (17.15sec run).

Original interior except for some removable/replaceable items - the alarm and radio.
Interior with ultrasonic from the period and a 1986 radio/cassette. An original style radio photo (I have one in storage).
Carb 1.6 engine & a close up of the 'Geferator' fitted to this car to aid compression and increase fuel economy.
The only engine modification to this car. I'm not sure if it was done at Fords in Germany.
2-spoke on the early cars such as this 1982 version.
The Sunstar Model engine (note the Geferators). I did tell them these were not standard.
At least it proves it was my car.

Cloverleaf alloy.
Late X reg had the first of the 5-speed gearboxes & the fuse box cover for it.
Two holes drilled in dash to fit alarm. Ouch! At least they can be filled and modelled/painted invisible if needs be.
LED style clock/Light.
Two XRs, one to store, one to drive.

In the days when I had a '78 Vette too.

Corgi (1/43rd) & Sunstar (1/18th) have measured this car to make collectors models (Corgi limited edition 1500 models)
The Corgi Vanguard collectors model.

Released 18th March 2009.

The Sunstar model.

My XRs over the years.

I once had an idea to paint (or vinyl) Star Wars motifs all over the car.
Here's an impression of what it might look like. Don't worry, I won't do it.
