Increased Incidence of Cancer near a Cell-Phone Transmitter Station
The aim of this epidemiological study was to investigate whether there was
an increased cancer incidence in populations exposed to
RF microwave radiation from a nearby mobile phone mast (cell-phone transmitter station).
The Results
Comparisons were made between those groups living in close proximity to the transmitter (and in the main beam of intensity), and those living further away .
The results of this study showed that there was a significantly greater incidence of cancers of all kinds within the vicinity of a cell-phone transmitter station.
The study calls for the
current ICNIRP guidelines to be re-evaluated since they are based purely on the thermal effects of exposure.
