Family history has become somewhat of an obsession for me. I started it in earnest at Christmas 2004, although I had dabbled a bit a year or two before. I am really treating it as a project for my two sons. So I am researching my wife's family as well as my own.

So far, my research has been done almost exclusively on the internet (even conversations with my parents held using VoIP - Skype). I reached the stage that I need to use other resources too - CDs and Microfiche produced by Family History Societies and the like.

Most of this site has been generated by the software package I am using to store my research - Legacy 7 Family Tree Delux Edition from Millenia. My original intention was to only include data that I had checked out myself. However, the site now contains all of the information that I have whether it has been checked or not. The reasoning behind this is that if I put up all my data then others will have the opportunity to question and or correct what I have.

Much of the information I have has been passed on to me or been extracted from downloaded gedcom files. I am very grateful to the kind souls that have made their own research available. They have enabled me to make a great deal of progress in a short time. Those that I remember are listed below. Richard James Fuller: Jim provided most of the information in the Fuller line. Jim is a third cousin of my wife.
Jean Fuller: Jean is my wife's aunt and has been very helpful.
Sheila Stewart: Sheila provided a great deal of information in the Best and Merrells lines. Sheila is one of my third cousins.
Joyce Margaret Rainsbury: Joyce provided a great deal of the information in the Alderton line. Joyce is a third cousin once removed of mine.
