We offer a unique approach to musical training through the use of one’s own singing voice and stimulating an area of musical awareness which is not always achieved in our culture.
The great composer Kodály developed the method in Hungary. It is now recognised worldwide for its success in the teaching of musicianship.
For teachers, singers and instrumentalists - anyone wishing to improve their musical understanding - these are invaluable, stimulating and rewarding courses.

Present Student Comments:
“Intellectually and emotionally challenging, but also lots of fun.”
“Both enjoyable and inspiring; it is a unique opportunity to develop and sharpen the hearing.”
“Instead of dreading aural tests I actually enjoy them and now have so many ideas for my own teaching. I also loved singing the unaccompanied part songs.”
“Through Katie’s enthusiasm, confidence and space are created to allow musical growth.”
“A new horizon - conducting!”
“I only wish I had known about Kodály when I first started to learn music.”
Note: There is no taster workshop this year. Instead, the first two weeks of each of the courses will be considered trial sessions. They will serve the purpose of allowing you to see how we work, and for us to evaluate and advise you towards the appropriate level of study.
