Scott Bannerman is a hard tackling
midfielder who adds grit to the team. He also has
the enviable accolade of scoring the first goal in
the Douglas Rae era at the start of the 01/02 season
as well as scoring the winning goal against Peterhead
in the last game of the season to clinch the third
division championship 02/03 which showed that Morton
are back on the up.
Whereas the midfielders Janne,
John and relied to an extent more on skill Scott was
a player who could add those hard tackles in the centre
when needed, not that his skills were lacking either.
