Paul joined the club at the start
of 02/03 season and has established himself as permanent
starter in the team. A tall defender he commands the
air well and along with his partner Robbie Henderson,
had a big part in the five clean sheets at the end
of the season that helped Morton secure the championship.
Paul also pops up with a goal now
and then as well and scored the winner against Montrose
at Cappielow.
Perhaps the enduring image of Paul
will be his commitment to continue playing in the
important promotion game against East Fife at New
Bayview. After a clash of heads which saw Paul having
to leave the field for treatment.
he returned after getting stitches in the wound and
continued playing with a head bandage. He kept up
his fine performance helping the Ton to an important
1-0 victory.
