Jani Uotinen is a midfielder from
Finland and joined the Ton in the summer of 2002 having
originally played and scored in trial game in the
01/02 season but had to return to Finland for exams.
Jani is a player with unquestionable
skill and desire and is regarded as one of the best
midfielders at the club. Hard in the tackle he also
expertly finds his strikers and instigates many attacks
but getting in a defending tackle when needed.
He was part of the impressive midfield
which included brothers Marco and John Maisano but
appears not to be John McCormicks first choice for
his position with that accolade going to Chris Millar.
