Hamilton are a club who like Morton have
played in the premier in the 1980s and the first in the
90s. With a new stadium and the recent takover and appointment
of former clyde boss Alan Maitland, they will be looking
to regain there place in a higher league.
Most of the squad from the season just
finished have been shown the door with only a few including
Brian McPhee remaining. They have added Derek Ferguson and
a couple of others already in the first week or so of the
new regime and will look to strengthen.
Stadium
After seven years ground sharing after
the sale of Douglas Park in 1994 , Hamilton have a new home,
New Douglas Park. It is an all-seated stadium consisting
of two covered stands, one behind a goal and the other along
the length of the pitch. Away fans are placed in the stand
behind the goal.
Again like other similar grounds the
facilities are excellent but the atmosphere is called into
question.
