We will all be familiar with our promotion partners after last season. They are a big strong physical side who like to play the long ball game, although it obviously worked for them getting them up.

Our games against them last season were very fruitful with the ton securing 10 points from a possible 12 with 3 wins and a draw. This included a 4-1 thumping in our favour at the first game up there and of course the crucial promotion battle in the last few weeks of the season were Warren Hawkes goal gave us all three points. The other scores were a 2-1 win for the Ton and a 1-1draw both at Cappielow.

A player to note is striker Kenny Deuchar who scored 23 goals and pushed Alex Williams for the top scorer in the league, although Alex always stayed ahead.

Stadium

Another new stadium, opened in 1998, New Bayview has one all-seated stand running along the side of the pitch. The away fans are allocated 1000 seats.

The facilities as expected from these new grounds are excellent. At the last match we played them the atmosphere was not lacking due to the large support, excitement and importance of the game.

The ground is situated next to the North sea with the stand facing it so it may get a bit chilly. Also directly facing you is a behemmoth of a power station.

And if you dont want to miss the half time tannoy dont worry the toilets have it playing.
