Berwick are a team who seem to spend
their time yo-yoing between the second and third divisions.
Last season they finished 5th, six points off the second
promotion place.
Their strikeforce of Alex Burke and Gary
Wood scored 29 goals between them with the Alex netting
15 and Gary 14.
Berwick have a couple of players with Morton connections,
David Murie who left the club during when players were payed
off is a regular at left or right back for Berwick and is
considered the best of their summer 2001 buys by their unofficial
fansite. Another is goalkeeper Neil Inglis who like at Morton
is understudy to the main keeper.
A notable game against them is the 4-3
win the year we won the 2nd division, with Derek Collins
scoring near the end to give us the victory. Morton on that
day overcoming a hat trick scored by a certain Mr Warren
Hawke.
Stadium
The ground is an oval shape and consists
of terracing and a small main stand. Away fans will use
the terracing at one lenth of the pitch. This is mostly
open with only the centre section covered.
Around the pitch is a cinder track used
for speedway during the summer.
Usual facilities, pie stall and toilets.
