Alloa join the 2nd division this time around after relegation on the last day of the season from the first division. Relegated from the first division in 2000/02 with Morton, Alloa found life in the second division slightly easier than the makeshift Morton side Peter Cormack had two weeks to assemble. while we were relegated to the the third, Alloa won the league and were promoted. But we now find ourselves meeting again.

The Morton side today however are a long way away from the one that season and will hold no fear of Alloa this time.

They are managed by Terry Christie, and have seasoned pros such as Gareth Evans and Scott Crabbe. due to the fact they came down from the first division the bookies will probably make them one of the favourites for the league.

Stadium

Alloa's gound is typical of many second and third division grounds in that it is largely open with terracing. Behind both goals and one length of the pitch is uncovered while the only seated and covered section is the main stand.

i'm sure you can guess what facilities to expect, ie pie stall and toilet.
