Toontown Vista Help
The information on this page will enable your computer with a vista operating system to work with Disney Toontown.
In order to make Disney Toontown work with MS Vista you must lower security settings on the computer. People with additional internet security like norton 360 or norton internet security will probably find their computers are still adequately protected.
If you still wish to make Disney Toontown work with Vista here is what you need to do.
1: Enter your control panel and select Internet Options.
2: In Internet Options click the security tab at the top of the window. Move the slider control to the lowest setting.
3: Uncheck the tick in the box labelled " Enable protected mode".
4: Click the Custom Level Option.
5: Under active x controls and plug ins, Enable "Allow previously unused active x controls to run".
6: Under allow scriptlets set to Enable.
7: Under display video and animation on a webpage that does not use external media player, set to enable.
9: Under download unsigned active x controls, set to enable ( Unsecure ).
10: Under initialize and script active x controls not marked as safe for scripting, set to enable.
11: Now click the icon showing in the white background named "Local intranet"
12: Set the slid control to the lowest position.
13: Un tick enable protected mode.
14: Click Custom Level and alter the settings to do with active x controls etc, in the same way you just did for the Internet Zone. If unsure about these setting enable them all and reset them one by one after Disney Toontown is working.
15: Clicks sites. Click advanced. Add this web address to the top white box https://accounts.toontown.com then click add. Then add this web address in the same way http://play.toontown.com
Exit all the settings, click apply and save where necessary and exit the control panel.
Turn off the pc (not reboot)
Boot up the pc and go to Disney Toontown to play. Desktop icons may not work but Toontown will work, load and save from the website.
If you have done all this and it still will not work, delete your cookies and temporary internet files, this works and has been practically failsafe so if it does not happen on your computer you missed something!
